My name is Ben 63 years old widow with one kid,Originally German and British American,I was born in Frankfurt Germany, Lost my dad when I was 8 years old,I'm 6 feet tall, white hairs and brown eyes, I grew up with my mum, and she died in 1999, I'm widowed for 8 years now with a daughter by name Vivian,,I'm presently working as a petrol chemical Engineer. been here for more than a year now, but would be rounding off soonest so I guess that would be the best time we could meet anywhere you want.I have a great sense of humor and a very strong, outgoing personality. I’ve worked in Public Relations for 21 years and been told more than once that I have a great smile and a "phone voice" made for radio! I'm confident but not cocky, mature and successful in both my personal and work life. I love to laugh, have absolutely no problem talking to strangers,I enjoy throwing on a suit and tie for a night out. But I'm most in my element with a bottle of red wine. Rude, inconsiderate and self-absorbed people are not people I like to be with. Maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle is very important to me. I exercise 3-4 times a week, play softball, bike at White Rock Lake and work in the yard to stay active. I just started boxing lessons which I really enjoy so far and my next challenge is to learn how to golf! I would like to meet someone who also enjoys being active. That said, please have a life outside the gym. After all, where's the fun in life if you can't enjoy an occasional box of milk duds at the movies without having a moral crisis...lol. Can't explain why, but I love The 3 Stooges. Maybe it's just a guy thing...or maybe because it offsets that annoying adult voice in my head that tells me to pay my bills on time and make my bed every morning...lol!!! No matter if it's business or a last-minute road trip I love packing a bag. I've proposed on the shores of LochNess, kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland, watched "Old Faithful" erupt in Yellowstone, swam with sting rays in Grand Cayman, seen the horror of Auschwitz in Poland, partied with Elvis at Grace land, had street tacos in Tijuana and touched the Berlin Wall before it “fell.” I've been fortunate enough to visit 15 different countries, including one that no longer exists! I enjoy learning how people in other parts of the world live and would like to meet a travel partner who shares that curiosity. I'm just someone who is laid back, has a sense of adventure and is easy to talk with. I don't play relationship games and have no interest in meeting anyone who does. I'm open to Marriage, but I also like the idea of a long-term relationship that could possibly lead to something more if/when the right person comes along. But it all begins with friendship and the ability to communicate. If those qualities don't exist than we won't be a good match no matter how much we may have in common. My ideal "Match" must love children, be outgoing, active and down-to-earth, no matter if it's on the patio with friends or just the two of us at a cozy side walk cafe. Someone who likes to dress for dinner or can just throw on a tee-shirt and cap to watch the Rangers or check out a live band. definitely earn brownie points. Throw in a healthy sense of humor and this could be the start of a beautiful friendship!, I do not smoke, I drink socially, and do not gamble for any reason. In return, I'm a great conversationalist, a good listener, easy-going and usually have a pretty good story to tell. Sound interesting right? My hobbies are Camping, Coffee and conversation, Dining out, Gardening/Landscaping, Movies/Videos, Museums and art, Music and concerts, Exploring new areas, Performing arts, Playing cards,I schooled in the university of Kansas in Lawrence in the united states A good book, writing, exercising, boxing lessons, my Jeep...with the top down, road trips, new restaurants, volunteering, softball, home renovation, live music, patios in the summer, movies, travel, entertaining friends, grilling in the back yard. I like camping, fishing ,cycling, biking, movies, golf, all kinds of sports....like the indoors too but I'm mostly an outdoorsy, i also like the city life.I take a walk out when the weather's mild,but go to the pool or mostly the beach when it's sunny.
